ATC Placement Rate Tops 90%
Over the course of the last year, we’ve posted many times on the strength of the local automotive industry, its importance to the B.C. Economy, and the benefits to auto training programs. We’ve also been posting updates from graduates finding their way into the workforce. All of this, however, does not always paint an accurate picture of our graduate placement rate and the impact of training on their careers. Thankfully, we recently completed a survey to determine just that…and the placement and employment rate of our graduates is even better than we thought.
The survey found that 92% of our graduates from the last 16 months are now working in the automotive industry, with 85% of those former students participating in an Automotive Service Technician or Auto Body Technician apprenticeship. Obviously, we’re very happy with those numbers. Check out what ATC director Zyg Strecha had to say:
“We are very pleased with the survey results. But given the resurgence of the local and national automotive industry, as well as the emergence of new automotive technology, we’re not completely surprised. It’s a great time to get involved in the automotive industry and an even better time to enroll in an auto training program.”
ATC Surrey employees conducted the survey, which involved 104 ATC graduates, by phone and email, with the results verified by an outside source. The results are further validation of our school’s emphasis on hands-on training, a practical approach to instruction that is clearly helping our graduates develop the skills, experience and confidence needed for entry-level employment in the automotive industry.
Let’s keep it up!
